MISSION:
The mission of the Kirkland Town Library is to provide residents of the Town of Kirkland with recreational, informational and cultural opportunities. Central to its mission are informational services that stimulate intellectual life, preserve cultural and historical heritage, and instill a love of learning among the young and young at heart.

LIBRARY VISION: Community members will:
* think of the library as a place to go and relax.
* think of the library as a place that offers barrier-free service.
* have the information they need to succeed in school, in work, and in their personal lives.
* have reading, viewing and listening materials and programs that stimulate their thinking and enhance their leisure time.
* enjoy a high level of quality electronic information.

LONG RANGE GOALS:
** The library will provide community members with access to an up-to-date, useful, enjoyable, and well-displayed collection of material in a variety of formats.
** The library will offer and support programs and activities of interest to the community.
** Adequate electronic resources will be available and maintained and assistance in use of these resources will be available.
** The community will find the library appropriately staffed by friendly, well-trained personnel.
** Community members will find an inviting, well-maintained, useable and comfortable environment.
