Improve Your Computer & Internet Skills!
Computer Basics (3 parts)  2/28, 3/6 & 3/13 at 10am-Noon
This class is designed for people who have little to no experience working with a computer. You will learn basic skills beginning with using the mouse and the keyboard and progress to file management and internet use.
MS Word Basics 3/1 at 2-4pm or 6:30-8:30pm
This class teaches the basics of entering and editing text, proofreading, some basic and intermediate formatting options, and opening, saving, and printing documents.
MS Publisher Basics 3/15 at 2-4pm or 6:30-8:30pm
This class teaches how to access and edit Publisher templates for personal and business use.
MS Excel Basics 3/28 at 2-4pm or 6:30-8:30pm
This class teaches the basics of Excel’s spreadsheet program using a personal budget as a sample project, entering data, formatting numbers & text, and learning functions.
Social Networking 4/19 at 2-4pm or 6:30-8:30pm
Learn to use social networking tools to connect with friends and family or to promote your business. This class will cover the basics of Facebook, Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn and RSS feeds.
Adobe Photoshop 5/3 at 2-4pm or 6:30-8:30pm
This class will help first time Photoshop users understand the Photoshop workspaces, palettes and tools useful in designing promotional materials.
Internet Security & PC Maintenance
(2 parts) 5/9 & 5/10 at 10am –Noon or 6:30-8:30pm
This class teaches how to use free software to keep one’s personal computer safe from software infections while using the internet (web browsing, receiving email, etc.), as well as basic maintenance to keep the PC in optimal condition.

Volunteer at the Library (for students entering Grade 6 and up). Please stop by the library and fill out a student volunteer application.
 HOOKED ON BOOKS!
This project is designed to promote literacy for preschoolers. The Project is made up of 1000 books that are divided into 100 canvas bags, with each bag containing 10 different books. Parents will be able to sign out a bag for a 2 week period, read the books with your child, and return it for another bag.
Our goal is to have 1000 books read to a child by age 6.
Ask at the library about how to begin!

Call 853-2038 to make arrangements for this service.
You can explain your interests to a staff member. A delivery time will be established.
